Piermont Dental, is a small, tastefully decorated, boutique-style office located in the heart of Piermont, New York. It is fully equipped with state-of- the-art dental equipment designed to deliver quality care with many luxuries of a spa. The reception room is equipped with a flat panel television, daily newspapers and soothing aromatherapy so that you can relax prior to being escorted back for your treatment.

We stand ready to dispel the common perception that dental care has to be "stressful," and our team will cater to your specific needs and concerns. Beginning with your first phone call to our office, you will recognize that we are here to offer you first class service. We respect that your time is important, and are committed to on-time appointments.

Rafael Caniza, DDS

Dr. Caniza grew up in Maryland where he attended the University of Maryland at College Park.  After graduating with a Bachelor of Science, he moved to New York and graduated from the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry.  He then completed his residency at Mount Sinai Hospital.  Dr. Caniza continues his education to this day with over 1,000 hours of continuing education classes.  He currently lives in Rockland County with his wife and two daughters.  Dr. Caniza has built a successful dental practice in the heart of Piermont, New York where he practices general and cosmetic dentistry.  But having a successful practice hasn’t stopped Dr. Caniza from donating his time and skills for charity.  He has spent numerous hours helping people in his community as well as abroad!  Recently, Dr. Caniza was chosen by his peers and awarded a Top Dentists of 2008 Award and featured in Hudson Valley Magazine!
