Applefest Family Fun Day

Applefest Family Fun Day

Helping people is at the core of the seventh annual Applefest Family Fun Day.

The Applefest is the biggest fundraiser for the Blauvelt Lions Club, which distributes the proceeds to several charities. It takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 26 at Flywheel Park in Piermont. Admission is free.

Money raised will be donated to the Vacation Camp for the Blind in Spring Valley, the Association for the Visually Impaired, also in Spring Valley, and Guiding Eyes for the Blind, a Yorktown Heights-based not-for-profit that supplies trained sight dogs for the visually impaired.
